Magical Rituals For Cancer Season


Welcome to Cancer Season!! Let's look into what magical rituals will give us the best results this season. With the sun now in the Constellation of Cancer rituals aimed towards this energy will be given an added boost. While magic is a great crafted it is only half complete without Astrology. As with tarot and other occult crafts the foundation is Astrology and mathematics. The Tarot connected to Cancer is The Chariot, the number 7 and keywords Focus, Will Power, Victory, Determination and Direction. DEITIES: Goddesses associated with cancer are Olokun, Aphrodite, Nammu, and other water deities that take on a mother or godmother form. Also deities connected to fertility or womb work. (Mermaid deities; although also connected to water are more tied to the zodiac Pisces because of the feet.) Objects, Totems, and Omens- Crabs, Seashells, sand, and water shell creatures can be included in your rituals. Use shellfish or other sea animals as offerings or enjoy and eat if you’d like as an aphrodisiac. Cancer in Medical Astrology is connected to your uterus, digestive tract. womb, and chest/breast areas. Any magic or healing aimed at these areas are guaranteed to be beneficial. Cancer belongs to the the 4th house in astrology. This house is about "How you feel" and also home and family, ancestors, roots. heritage, generational influences, karma, and comfort. Those are also ideas to tie around your rituals. Break those ties with karma.

Cancer season is the first water sign of the zodiacs. Because of this water rituals are a must! Be sure to water your plants and herbs, add water to your rituals cups and bowls. Take lots of spiritual baths and increase your water intake as we enjoy this season of nurturing. New Moon in Cancer July 13th- Use this new moon energy to create new beginnings with your emotions, family, and your sacred womb. Nurture your craft, your body, your mind and soul. Take water rituals to purify and visualize all that you’d like to attract to your home. Full Moon in Capricorn July 27th- Great use of this full moon is best geared towards structure and foundation. Are they allowing you the comfort to nurture your ideas? Do you have the foundation solid and strong to nurture your wants to life? Ask yourself these questions, remove what is not adding and bring more order to the home to make these steps.

Let’s get into Spiritual Baths!

These can be done many ways! I will go over a few that can be done even with the most basic household ingredients.  Salt Water! This is a great detoxing element. In any way salt is available to you (kitchen, sea, Epsom etc) , add it to your warm flowing water as you draw the bath. As it dissolves visualize (example below) and say out loud all that you want to cleanse. Rather it mind, body, or spirit. Submerge in the water as much as is comfortable to you. If you have blood pressure or other health concerns please advise a doctor about the amount of salt safe to add to your bath.

Add crystals in and around the tub, pair with candles oils and things that make you comfortable. Add flowers or herbs that call out to you. This is a season governed by the moon. Trust your intuition and trust where spirit is guiding you. ****Don't have access to a bathtub or body of water?

Pour water mixed with herbs or charged with crystals over your head as you visualize.

Heard of Sensory Deprivation Tank? (click here to learn more). It is lightless/dark. soundproof tank filled with salt water. While in these you float. Due to the amount salt to water ratio your body will naturally float. This is said to be an alternative healing technique.

Visualization Tips?

The key here is to first use your 5 senses. Smell, Sight, Taste, Hear, Touch.

Breast/Chest and womb massages. This is a good time for full body massages giving lots of love and attention to the chest and womb areas. Use oils to nurture areas that give life.

Strengthen your intuition. If you are into psychic work this is a good time to harness your energy, make it stronger. This is because of the moon's influence and power during this time.
