Welcome to Aries Season and Happy Spring Equinox. This year Aries starts on March 20th, 2017 until April 19th. Aries is all about asking our self if we are living in alignment with our soul’s purpose or are we living in our ego’s purpose. Another question to ask yourself the next few weeks is “Are you sacrificing yourself for others?” Ask if what you are doing now because you feel it in your soul, is it because someone else is directing your will, or is it your ego? Reflect on these ideas as we will also be going through a Mercury Retrograde phase that will ultimately end with us asking this question.
Now is the time for first impressions. We will be starting the flow of our will/wheel. Be mindful not to be so impulsive and to think clearly with love before leaping forward. It is now officially Spring so let us spring forward with pure passion and not so egotistical as the typical Aries energy can push us towards doing things we may later regret. This is a passionate time full of drive and force. With Aries representing the head on the body be mindful of headaches or what I call “Aries the Snotty Nose” that being Allergies and other congestive issues. If a fight happens, be ready for busted lips and bloody noses as we will witness these somewhere even if it's just passing by. If any of these occur relax and ask yourself if you are being too impulsive or diving head first into situations. Is your soul really into what you are doing?
Aries is all about the Me first energies so expect to hear that phrase for the next 30 days. One thing I suggest to my subscription clients about this Aries season is to call ahead of time and make reservations or appointments so that once you arrive you will be welcomed first. The lines will be full of people upset they have to wait and watch others be served or called before them. The experiences of this season would be compared to the recess days of choosing times and watching everyone is called upon before you. Or the great debate, “Which came first the chicken or the egg?” We know it really doesn’t matter. That is the ego that cares, and spirit knows neither can exist without the other. Aries energy can become very jealous over for being put above others. So a quick #AstroWitch tip is to put yourself FIRST. Instead of becoming competitive or jealous over being put 2nd. As the only competition is true with yourself.
In the Astrological Wheel, Aries is the first house, pushing our movement and flow, directing our inner will and helping to assist us in living our soul’s desire. Now that we have completely shed the dead energy of the fall we are now able to plant our seeds in the fertile soil. No one can force our will but us. No matter what you believe, we have free will. The ego may later blame others but the ego made the decision to be moved. The 1st house is all about Identification and how others see us. It's about how you look, and how you see the world. People treat us how we treat us. Aries energies may play out with the warrior spirit of fighting or waging war to be respected, what we must discover is that if we respect ourselves everyone else will have no choice but to do so also.
In the Tarot Aries is connected to the card The Emperor, a father figure energy with a solid foundation. Now is the time to take the wisdom we have gained and build a solid structure. Use your inner confidence and your own authority over your self to move forward. Leap with passion and desire for life, the challenges are only to make us stronger in our soul’s purpose. And remember no one can move you off of your square but you!
Mercury Retrograde
This Mercury RX will begin the Pre-Shadow phase on March 26th. The Pre-Shadow phase is when it ultimately begins as most think it begins right when it appears to go backward. Taking note of the events that begin here allow us to pay attention and gain the wisdom required so that once the Retrograde phase occurs we can utilize this time to truly reflect. One thing my teacher taught me about Mercury Retrograde is that we often are checked not only on the things we verbally say but more importantly the things we say to ourselves when no one is listening. So “MEAN WHAT YOU SAY AND SAY WHAT YOU MEAN.” The Pre-Shadow phase will be intensified on April 2nd, this is when we will truly feel the mercury effects so that once it is stationed April 9th we will be able to be still and reflect. Once it is stationed will definitely feel it, knowing the pre-shadow days allows us to be prepared for what is to come. It will then become even more intense on April 28th and the post pre-shadow phases will be from May 4th until the 26th. This entire time is the Mercury Retrograde so please do not get caught on the miseducation that it begins and ends only when the standstill of Mercury is visible, as the effects here on earth are not linear and have a pre and post energy that we will feel for sure.
New Moon
The New Moon in Aries will be February 26th, 2017. This new moon energy will be best for magic pertaining to leadership and willpower. Use this moon magic to put into the universe to take action with enthusiasm and to have more power over your life’s direction. This will be a good time for healing of the head, face and the brain. Reprogram the thoughts in the mind that hinder your ability to have authority over yourself.
Full Moon
The Full Moon will be in Libra on March 12th, 2017 is a great time to work your magic involving the justice system, partnerships, unions, and your children’s needs. Balance out your emotions and spiritual endeavors. It's a good time to have mental stimulation but also artistic stimulation as well. This is also a good time for healing of the lower back and detoxing of the kidneys.
