Capricorn in Astrology is all about your character, life’s direction and achievements. Now is the time to start asking yourself where you are headed. This is possibly the reason why January is the start of the New Year. With us entering a 10 vibration (2+0+1+7) cycle, this new year will be about your public image. While most of us are aware (some are not) that the way the public views you may be quite different than how you see yourself. That is okay, as we each have many sides.
How does the public view you? Use this Capricorn season to ask those questions, prepare, and plan any changes you would like to see. This is also a good time to start a plan for taking care of your skin, bones and teeth, as these are often the first things others see about you. Get a list of short term and long term goals, and get to it! It’s time to revamp your public image, and to focus on mastery in your career or business.
To know exactly how you are perceived in the public eye, look at your 10th house within your personal natal chart. This will shine light on how you are seen through the public's eyes. I personally have 10th house and Midheaven in Gemini, along with my North Node and Ceres. I am viewed as the intellectual and teacher. In the public I get along with everyone and can converse with all, regardless of linguistics. Communication does not separate me from others. Also notice what house Capricorn is in on your chart to see where you may need to set goals and master aspects.
The Goat in Capricorn is symbolic of many things and can be traced back to Egyptian and Sumerian history. In the present day, we see the mountain goat as the climber, who keeps going until he reaches the top. That is his goal. Another characteristic to this zodiac is satisfaction. Once you reach your desired goal, will you ultimately be satisfied? Often, we will complete one task and realize we have nothing left to be ambitious about. This is why we set short term, as well as long term goals. In the tarot, Capricorn is tied to The Devil car, and Saturn the planet Capricorn belongs to is tied to The World card. The connection here is asking if you are truly happy and full satisfied with the way in which you live your life and achieve your goals. Do they give you a sense of COMPLETION?
Look into meanings of these cards and how they play into your life. The Devil card shows us where we are bound to illusions and false beliefs that may be holding us from satisfaction and feeling whole (The World card).
New Moon in Capricorn on December 29th
A Capricorn New Moon is great for planning and setting goals to achieve. It can also be a good time for healing your skin and bones. You may feel arthritis symptoms or have a toothache while these energies are upon us, so be prepared. Use this time for healing or making a plan to focus on that part of your body. The keyword for now is utilize. Are you using your time wisely? Are you utilizing all that is available to you? If you answered yes, great! If you answered no, go over your daily schedule and see if you could use your time, space, and tools to their maximum potential. If you have items or clutter that you are not “utilizing” get rid of them. What is the point? You could give them to someone who could actually make use of these things.
The Full Moon will be in Cancer January 12, 2017
The full moon in Cancer is our first full moon of 2017. This moon phase is all about nurturing and family. With the zodiac Cancer, we see how we view family. This full moon may illuminate upon aspects that may be holding you back from success and the status you truly want. We hear all the time that blood is thicker than water, but which one would you rather drink? Look within your natal chart to see exactly how you view family and if this is truly beneficial to you. Are the ones you consider family helping and harming you achieve your goals. For example; I have family in my 11th house. I can see friends and those in the public as my family. I had to reflect and ask how to utilize this energy in a way to gain and not take. Ultimately family is man, woman and child. Family are those generations you create after you, grandchildren and so on. This is where focus should be and planning should be done. Sometimes the way we view family can actually be detrimental to our lives. Family is personal and close while Capricorn is a public energy. We can not mix the two. Yes family can go into the public with you, but it is not wise to bring the public into your personal space. Use this full moon for purging the false ideas of family and setting goals for your family (husband/wife, children and grandchildren). This full moon can also be used to plan for conceiving children. Children conceived at this time will be born into the Zodiac Virgo, the ultimate nurturer and communicator.
